![]() PROFESSIONAL ARTISTIC CURRICULUM OF MONICA MARCOLINI Monica Marcolini, harpist and composer, started the harp study when she was eleven; she got the diploma with full marks at the "G. Rossini" Conservatory of Pesaro where she studied composition and direction of wind instruments and eletronic music.she specialize in music education graduatine second level from the “G. Rossini” Conservatory of Pesaro. Winner as harpist at the competition of the Italian Youth orchestra and the European Youth ECYO orchestra. She obtained the specializing diploma as harpist of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia of Rome under the direction of M. Elena Zaniboni with full marks (10). Winner at the competition for harp with an award for studies at the Academy of High music specialization "I Filarmonici di Torino" (The Philharmonic Society of Turin) in Saluzzo (CN) she specialized with prof. G. Albisetti and afterwards with prof. J. Liber. She started the jazz harp study under the direction of the harpist Carol McLaughlin of the Tucson Arizona academy school. She worked as concert artist in different orchestras, among which the orchestra of the lyric Arena di Verona theatre, I Filarmonici di Verona (The Philarmonic society of Verona) orch., the symphony orchestra of Sanremo, the symphony orchestra of Accademy Scala of Milan, the orchesta of Accademy Santa Cecilia in Rome, the philharmonic orchestra of the Marches region, the Pro Arte orchestra of Marches region, the International Orchestra of Italy, the symphony orchestra of the Marches region, selected in the A. Toscanini orchestra of Parma, the symphony orchestra of Bari, the symphony orchestra of Foggia. She performed classical and jazz concerts directed by authoritative directors such as V. Jordania (Von Karajan prize in 1971), G. Garbarino, M. Rot, L.Einaudi. G.Gaslini. D.Oren, E.Greach. She recorded a CD of only harp "Looking in the Time" and “Monica Marcolini live in concert” the letter recorded of the Rossini Theatre in Pesaro Recently she participated as soloist harpist at the Musical Festival of Ascoli Piceno. For the publisher Bèrben and Eridania she published pieces for only harp, chamber music, trios, duos and arrangements of arias and pieces for harp. She is working as a concert artist. From the year 2006 she gives lesson about classical and celtic harps at the Pareggiato “G.Lettimi” Musical Institute in Rimini. She is currently professor of Theory, analysis, composition and music technology at the Liceo Musicale "G. Marconi” Pesaro.
